Amex Platinum Entertainment Credit Increased to $300
The revamped Amex Platinum card will have an increased Entertainment Credit that goes to $300 per year. There are also more options in the list of eligible services.
Get up to $25 back in statement credits each month on eligible purchases made with your Platinum Card® on one or more of the following: Disney+, a Disney+ bundle, ESPN+, Hulu, The New York Times, Paramount+, Peacock, The Wall Street Journal, YouTube Premium, and YouTube TV.
Currently you get “up to $20 in statement credits each month when you use your Platinum Card® for eligible purchases on Disney+, a Disney+ bundle, ESPN+, Hulu, The New York Times, Peacock, and The Wall Street Journal”. So the credit is going up by $5/month and it also adds Paramount+, YouTube Premium, and YouTube TV.
Amex also posted a video introducing the new cards, saying “now in limited-edition mirrored design”, but took it down within minutes. You can see it in our Facebook Group if you care enough.
How It Works
- Enrollment by the Basic Card Member is required. To enroll in the benefit, select “Enroll Now”. Please note, enrollment may take up to 24 hours to take effect on your Card.
- Sign up for an eligible monthly subscription plan to one or more of the following partners online directly.
- Use an eligible Card on the enrolled Card Account as the form of payment. If already an existing subscriber to an eligible subscription plan billed directly by a participating partner, update form of payment to an eligible Card in order to start receiving the benefit.
- Purchases by both the enrolled Basic and Additional Card Members on the Account from one or more of the partners mentioned above are eligible for statement credits of up to $25 each month. However, the Card Account is only eligible for a total of $20 statement credits per month, per Card Account.
- Statement credits are typically received within a few days, but may take up to 6-8 weeks after an eligible purchase is charged to the Card Account.
