Discover has a nice offer for their Online Savings account. You can now receive a $100 bonus if you apply before 10/31/15. To receive the bonus, you must use Offer Code Save3915 and make a minimum deposit of $5,000, which must be received by 11/15/15.
The good thing is that you only need to make a one time deposit of at least $5,000, but you do not have to keep the money in the account. However, it doesn’t hurt to keep it there since the Discover Online Savings account offers a 0.95% APY, which is not great, but not that bad either.
The bonus is limited to new savings customers only—1 per customer per account. Bonus will be issued within 30 days of funding of $5,000 as credit to the account, which must be open at issue. Bonus is considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT.
Minimum opening deposit amount is $500.
The bonus is better than the $50 offered earlier this year and better than another similar current offer for a $100 bonus but with a 10K deposit requirement.
Besides the 0.95% APY, the Discover Online Savings account comes with no monthly maintenance of minimum balance fees.
