Barclaycard has increased the sign up bonuses for their Wyndham credit cards. There’s two cards and strangely enough they have the same name, but different designs and one comes with an annual fee of $69. The annual fee card is the only one worth it, even though the fee is not waived the first year.
Wyndham Rewards Visa Card with Annual Fee
This card comes with a $69 annual fee. Currently there’s a 45,000 points sign up bonus. You will earn 30,000 bonus points after your first purchase. Plus, earn an additional 15,000 bonus points after you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. There’s also a bonus of 6,000 points after your account anniversary every year.
This card earns 5 points per $1 spent on every Wyndham hotel stay and 2 points per $1 spent on purchases everywhere else.
Wyndham simplified its rewards program last year, so now you get a night anywhere for 15,000 points. With the bonus from this card you can get three nights, so this would make sense if you use it for stays at some of their high end properties.
Wyndham Rewards Visa Card with No Annual Fee
This card has no annual fee. Currently there’s a 18,000 points sign up bonus. You will earn 15,000 bonus points after your first purchase. Plus, earn an additional 3,000 bonus points after you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening.
This card earns 3Â points per $1 spent on every Wyndham hotel stay and 2 points per $1 spent on purchases everywhere else.
The bonus on this card is probably not worth the hard pull.
