WOW Air has another sale with some good prices for travel to Tel Aviv from several US airports. Service to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport will start once again June 10, 2019 and will be offered four times each week from New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. A round trip flight must be booked to get the promotional $199 price for the first leg.
Fees
WOW Air charges for almost everything, so make sure you go over their list of fees before booking. You’re only allowed a free carry-on item (17x13x10 in./22 lbs), which is very very small. You’ll have to pay for a carry-on bag and checked luggage.
Seat assignment will also cost you, $9.99-$10.99. Check out the full list of fees and charges here.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
WOW began operating three weekly flights on the Tel Aviv – Reykjavik route in June 2017 but ended the flights in October 2018. This promotion for the restart of the flights should yield some good prices, which are showing for October and November. Don’t forget to use a credit card that will give you the most points, such as Amex Platinum (5x on airfare) or Chase Sapphire Reserve (3x on travel), Citi Prestige (3x on airfare) or one of the best cards for travel purchases. You can also use travel credit from your Citi Prestige or the Chase Sapphire Reserve.
