WOW Air is starting service to New Delhi in December and is now offering promotional flights for just $199 each way to/from select US cities. So you can chose either one-way for $199 or a round-trip for $398. All flights have a layover in Reykjavik and the catch is that you’re only allowed one carry one item. You can fly to and from these US cities:
- Boston
- Chicago
- Detroit
- Los Angeles
- New York (EWR)
- Pittsburgh
- San Francisco
- St. Louis
- Washington D.C.
You can book directly on their website. Ad of now, there’s availability January through March of 2019, but these $199 fares probably won’t last long.
Fees
WOW Air charges for almost everything, so make sure you go over their list of fees before booking. You’re only allowed a free carry-on item (17x13x10 in./22 lbs), which is very very small. You’ll have to pay for a carry-on bag and checked luggage.

If you were planning to visit India then this promotion should probably get you the best cash prices possible. But these fares are not for everyone. You need to travel light. Don’t forget to use a credit card that will give you the most points, such as Amex Platinum (5x on airfare) or Chase Sapphire Reserve (3x on travel) or Citi Prestige (3x on airfare). You can also use travel credit from your Citi Prestige or the Chase Sapphire Reserve.
