A week ago I wrote about the most expensive resort in the world in Banwa Private Island in the Philippines. It costs $100,000 per night. That’s just as much as the world’s most expensive hotel room. Yes, you read that right, a hotel room that costs $100K per night.
World’s Most Expensive Hotel Room
The title goes to the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas that unveiled the Empathy Suite earlier this year. It is a Sky Villa designed by artist Damien Hirst. It’s priced at $200,000 for a two-night stay, so actually if you only have $100,000 you cannot get in.
The Empathy Suite is one of the world’s most expensive hotel accommodations. The two-story hotel suite is 9,000 square feet and features a custom butterfly-motif mosaic and collection of contemporary art. In addition to 24-hour butler service, guests will receive chauffer service, a $10,000 credit at the resort and access to A-list events at the Palms.
Features
The two master bedrooms feature unique artwork, California-King beds and spacious closets. They also have massage rooms for those who want to relax further. The Empathy Suite has two-and-a-half marble bathrooms with stone butterflies, double sinks and ample lighting.
The living rooms are spacious with plenty of neutral-colored seating options like Italian leather couches with cozy pillows. The living rooms and media lounge can seat up to 52 people. The dining room seats only eight guests, but makes for a great place to enjoy a culinary experience and views of Las Vegas at night.
No $100K suite is complete without a full bar of its own. The Empathy Suite has a 13-seat curved bar that’s filled with medical waste which contrasts with the objects placed in pill cabinets throughout the villa. Above the bar is an art piece by Hirst called, “Here for a Good Time, Not a Long Time” which features a marlin skeleton and a taxidermied marlin.
There’s also a gym, salt relaxation room, media lounge, and a game room. Out in the balcony there’s a cantilevered Jacuzzi that features mosaic inlaid butterflies and overlooks the Vegas Strip.
And there’s lots of art all around the suite, with this one being one of the most interesting.
