Walmart+ Now Includes Free ‘Returns from Home’

Walmart announced today a new feature for its Walmart+ members, in a push notification sent out through the app. If you pay for a Walmart+ membership you can now return products from home for free. You don’t need to print any labels, package them, mail items back, or visit a local Walmart.

This is similar to what Amazon does, where you don’t need to package your items or print any labels. But Walmart goes a step further and makes it even more convenient for its customers.

The process is easy and it can be done in the app or online. To start a return, Walmart+ customers can go into their purchase history and select the “Returns from home” option. You can then schedule a pickup window for a local delivery driver to come and pick up the items at your house. This seems to include grocery deliveries as well.

You must be present when the driver arrives and you must present the barcode generated in your Walmart app.

This new feature is available only to those that are within a certain distance from a Walmart store. If you are able to receive grocery deliveries from Walmart then you will probably be eligible for this option as well. Check the app or website now and if you are eligible you will see the “Returns from home” option.

Walmart+ costs $98 per year or $12.95 per month. But if you have an American Express Platinum card then you can get it for free. With this membership you receive perks like unlimited free delivery on more than 160,000 items, fuel discounts at more than 2,000 gas stations, free Paramount+ and now free returns. From time to time you will also see limited time perks such as free SiriusSM and more. You can try Walmart+ free for 30 days.
