Virgin Atlantic Offers 50% Discount on Transatlantic Awards

Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic have launched today an award sale that gets you a 50% discount on Virgin Atlantic flights booked between 14 – 20 March, for travel between 14 March – 30 June 2024.

Virgin Atlantic routes between the US and UK are included in the sale and the sale is applicable to Economy, Premium and Upper Class reward seat bookings or upgrades booked during the offer period.

For example, return Economy flights are priced as follows after 50% discount:

• New York to London Heathrow – 10,000 Virgin Points
• Las Vegas to London Heathrow – 15,000 Virgin Points
• Los Angeles to London Heathrow – 15,000 Virgin Points

While those are pretty good prices for awards, you should keep in mind that you still need to pay taxes, fees and carrier-imposed surcharges, which vary according to destination, season and cabin. Those fees are quite high for Virgin Atlantic so that might kill the deal for some.

To book award fares, head over to the Virgin Atlantic website, where you can choose your destination and travel dates. Select ‘Show Price in Points’ under the ‘Advanced search’ followed by your desired cabin – either Economy, Premium or Upper Class.
