US Mobile has launched an unlimited Wi–Fi plan that it says allows users to connect to hotspots located almost everywhere on the ground and in the sky on 20 leading airlines including Delta, American Airlines, and Virgin America. With more than 35 million hotspots in the US, customers can basically use US Mobile’s Wi-Fi plans everywhere, airports, trains, hotels, cafes, and outdoors.
The new offer includes a $10 Unlimited Inflight WiFi Plan. Users pay a flat fee for unlimited WiFi, which they can use in the US and abroad, in the sky and on the ground.
Users buy and activate a Wi-Fi plan at www.usmobile.com/wifi and download the app prior to departure. Once in the air, they will be able to see and connect to available hotspots on their chosen device. For example, if they are using an iPhone they go to ‘Settings’ and then ‘Wi-Fi’. According to the iPass website it currently works with both Gogo and Panasonic Avionics on domestic and international flights.
Right now you can do even better with promo code RCUSMWIFI. That will give you a 40% discount, so you’ll be paying just $6. Even at full price, this service is hard to beat.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
This is a great deal if you travel often. At $6 and even $10 per month for unlimited internet, on ground and inflight, this is hard to beat. Yes, some people get free Boingo passes from some cards, but this is an unlimited service.
HT: View from the Wing and Get Connected
I’m guessing discount is for one month only right?
Vic, that’s correct (http://www.dealsatx.com/unlimited-inflight-wifi/) though I suppose you could create another new account. Though don’t require a phone number, not sure if they can tie it to your device ID.
