United Airlines Pulls Boeing 737 MAX from Schedule Till 9/4

United Airlines said today that it is extending the cancellation of Boeing 737 MAX flights until September 4th. Reuters reports that the timing of a key certification flight may not happen until at least April.

U.S. airlines that operate Boeing 737 MAX aicraft, which was grounded worldwide last March after two fatal crashes, had last pulled the jet from their flight schedules until early June. Just yesterday Southwest Airlines extended its MAX cancellations until August 10.

Boeing has taken a big hit over the 737 MAX issues. Boeing had zero new airplane orders in January and the company is expected to take several quarters to return 737 Max fleet to the skies once grounding is lifted.
