TD Bank is offering the usual $150 bonus again, but they also have another great $300 bonus that has some higher requirements, but it’s the best they’ve ever offered from what I remember. The accounts can be opened online but it’s limited to residents in CT, DE, Washington D.C., FL, ME, MD, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, SC, VT, VA.
$300 bonus offer when opening a TD Premier Checking
$300 bonus offer available to eligible new personal checking Customers when opening a TD Premier Checking account with cumulative direct deposit funds of $2,500 or more into the new account within 60 days of account opening. You need to maintain the minimum balance of $2,500 in this account in order to waive the $25 monthly maintenance fee.
$150 bonus when opening a TD Convenience Checking
$150 bonus available to eligible new personal checking Customers when opening a TD Convenience Checking account with cumulative direct deposit funds of $500 or more into the new account within 60 days of account opening. You need to maintain the minimum balance of $100 in this account in order to waive the $15 monthly maintenance fee.
For both accounts, the bonus will be credited into the new personal checking account no later than 95 days from account opening, assuming the conditions are met. Account must remain open, active, in good standing, and in the same product type through the qualifying period to receive the bonus. As with most bank bonuses, it will be reported as taxable income to the IRS on a 1099-MISC. Offer may be withdrawn at any time and is subject to change. One bonus per Customer and cannot be combined with any other offer. TD Bank employees and Canadian cross-border banking Customers are not eligible.
The $300 bonus makes more sense if you have $2500 to leave in the account for 3 months, in order to keep fee free. One issue is the direct deposit. If you can easily switch your direct deposit, that would be the best option. Otherwise, there’s really no data points out there what works, since previous bonuses involved just debit transactions. Who is eligible?

Offer is available only to new personal checking Customers who do not have an existing or prior personal checking account at TD Bank. This means that if you have had a TD checking account previously you do not qualify.

I applied for an account. But said that my info could not be verified. I called customer service and they said I had to contact TD Bank directly…. I thought I did,? My account was under Kristin Free. Please help
