Southwest Personal Cards Have Increased 50K Bonuses, Great Timing For Companion Pass

Southwest has two increased offers for their personal credit cards. These are not the best offers we have seen for these cards but this is great timing to go for the Southwest Companion Pass if you’re eligible for the bonuses. The 60K offer is also still available for the business credit card.

Chase Southwest Premier Card 50K Offer

The Offer: Earn 50,000 bonus points after you spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months after account opening.

This product is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of this credit card who received a new Cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months.

The personal cards are also subject to the Chase 5/24 Rule.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

These are good offers although there’s been 60K offers in the past for the personal cards as well. What makes these offers better than usual is the timing for getting the Southwest Companion Pass, which only requires 110,000 points and it’s good for the year you earn it and the following year.

If you recently applied for a lesser offer, then send a message to Chase and ask them to match you to this offer. They usually match you if you have applied within the last 3 months.

But keep in mind that these cards fall within the Chase 5/24 rule, so I am out of luck and won’t be applying.
