Samsung Galaxy Card Offers Up to 5% Cash Back and $200 Bonus

Samsung is entering the U.S. credit card market with the new Samsung Galaxy Card, a no-annual-fee Visa issued by Barclays. Applications open to the general public on July 22, 2026, the same day as Samsungโ€™s next Galaxy Unpacked event, while select early-access customers can apply now.

New cardholders can earn $200 in bonus cash rewards after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days of opening the account. That is a modest welcome offer compared with many other rewards cards, but the Galaxy Card is primarily aimed at customers who regularly purchase Samsung devices or use Samsung Wallet.

Cardholders earn:

  • 5% cash rewards on eligible purchases made directly with Samsung
  • 3% cash rewards on purchases made through Samsung Wallet
  • 2% cash rewards on eligible streaming services, including Netflix, Disney+ and Spotify
  • 1% cash rewards on all other purchases

The 5% category covers eligible purchases from Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, the Shop Samsung app, Galaxy Store, Samsung Care+, Samsung Secure Wi-Fi, Samsung Smart TV Store and SmartThings Videos. The card also earns 5% on Samsung VIP Advantage membership purchases and renewals, while providing a 20% discount on the membership.

The Samsung Galaxy Card will be available as both a virtual card and a premium metal physical card. It integrates directly with Samsung Wallet, where it can be stored alongside compatible payment cards, IDs, passes and digital keys. Samsung Wallet does not require a Samsung phone, but you need a device running Android 9.0 or later and a Samsung account.

Guru’s Wrap-up

The 3% return through Samsung Wallet is probably the cardโ€™s most interesting everyday feature. The 5% rate on Samsung purchases is more compelling for customers buying expensive Galaxy phones, televisions or appliances, although shoppers should still compare prices and shopping-portal rewards before checking out.

Samsung is clearly positioning the Galaxy Card as its answer to products such as the Apple Card, using rewards and deeper Wallet integration to keep customers inside its ecosystem.
