Rakuten Takeout, Earn 20% Cashback on Restaurant Pickup Orders

Rakuten has launched a new service for food delivery. It’s called Rakuten Takeout and it offers 20% cash back at select restaurants. There is no delivery option. You need to order online and pick up the food yourself. You sign in with your Rakuten account at checkout and the cashback will be deposited in your Rakuten account.

The service has just launched and currently is only available in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hopefully we see it expanded to other cities soon.

The service is powered by Curbside, Inc., a Delaware corporation d.b.a. Rakuten Ready. It says that it is 100% free to restaurants, so it might be a much cheaper option than delivery apps if the prices are the same as dining in and you are getting 20% in cashback.

If you do not have a Rakuten account, now is a good time to sign up to get a $30 bonus. You need to make a purchase of $30 or more through the site.
