Daniel reported in our Facebook Group that Rakuten now shows Bilt as one of the cash back payment options besides Amex points, PayPal and receiving a check.
That means that you can have your Cash Back sent as Bilt Points if you’re a Bilt Rewards member. You’ll see Cash Back deals when shopping, and will be paid in Bilt Points. Bilt Points will be sent to your Bilt account every 3 months.
It also notes that you can’t switch directly between Bilt and American Express Membership Rewards points. If you want to switch from Bilt to Membership Rewards points or vice versa, choose PayPal or Big Fat Check first, then select Bilt or Membership Rewards points.
However, it’s not yet possible to switch to Bilt Points even when you follow those instructions. So it might go live tomorrow, as Bilt has hinted at a new transfer partner that is supposed to go live on Tuesday and one more by the end of the year.
This would be a great way to earn more Bilt points. Currently you need to have the Bilt Mastercard to earn any relevant amount of points.
Bilt Rewards Transfer Partners
Point transfers are initiated using the Bilt App. All transfers are at a ratio of 1:1 and will be nearly instant. There is a minimum point transfer of 2,000 Bilt Points for members who are Blue Status and a minimum point transfer of 1,000 Bilt Points for members who are Silver, Gold, or Platinum Bilt Status.
