Priority Pass Will Increase Lounge Visit Fees

Priority Pass Will Increase Lounge Visit Fees

Priority Pass is a popular network of airport lounges. Members can access more than 1,3000 lounges around the world regardless of the airline they flying or the fare class they purchased.

These lounges offer things like food and beverages, free Wi-Fi, places to relax and get some work done and more importantly just an escape from the rowdy airport terminals.

Most readers who have a Priority Pass membership, probably do so thanks to premium cards such as The Platinum Card® from American Express, Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card, or Chase Sapphire Reserve®. But there are plenty of other credit cards that offer variations of complimentary Priority Pass membership.

Those who don’t have one of these credit cards in their wallet, can also pay for they own membership. There are three options to choose from, varying from $99 per year to $469. Based on the plan you have, you might need to pay a fee for every lounge visit, or to bring in additional guests. Even those who have complimentary memberships, might have to pay extra when they want to bring in more guests than what their membership allows.

That price that you pay per visit, or to bring in guests, is going up slightly. On October 1st, 2023 Priority Pass will be increasing the fee for chargeable lounge visits to $35 (£24/€30) per visit per person. That’s an increase of $3 per visit from $32.

The new visit fees will apply to any member or guest visits to any of the lounges around the world. Any complimentary visits included as a part of your membership will not be affected by this fee increase.

Priority Pass says that “like many other companies we need to balance our pricing with rising costs. We have held our prices for over four years, however, at a time when businesses face unprecedented challenges and cost increases, we do now have to make an adjustment to our visit fees.”
