Say Goodbye to Plenti on July 10th

It has been a slow death for the Plenti Program for about a year. The program sounded promising when it was first launched, but never really caught on. It had terrible earning rates at many merchants and they only had a handful of merchants signed up. Many of them have already fled, and the Plenti program will officially shut down on July 10, based on an internal promo at Rite Aid.

The memo, which you can see here on DoC’s post, says that the Plenti program ends on July 10th and Plenti points will no longer be accepted at Rite Aid or any other stores. It’s interesting that the memo also notes that Rite Aid associates should wait until April 16th to inform customers that the Plenti program is ending.

If you have a lot of points make sure you plan how to use them . After May 3, 2018, Macy’s and Chili’s will no longer participate in the Plenti program. As of March 16, 2018, members can no longer earn points at Macy’s or Chili’s. In addition, the Online Marketplace is no longer available as of March 16, 2018. Members can continue to redeem points on eligible purchases at Macy’s and participating Chili’s restaurants through May 3, 2018. After May 3, 2018, members will continue to have access to any available points and can use those points for savings on eligible purchases at participating Exxon and Mobil gas stations, Rite Aid stores and BI-LO, Winn-Dixie, and Harveys supermarkets.
