PeoplesBank, $150 Checking Bonus (MD, PA)

PeoplesBank is offering a $150 sign up bonus for new checking account customers. The account can be opened either online or in branch, but it’s available only in MD & PA.

Bonus Reuirements

The bonus comes in three parts of $50 each

$50 For establishing direct deposit with a minimum monthly deposit amount of at least $200
$50 For paying at least one bill using PeoplesBank’s online bill payment service
$50 For conducting a PeoplesBank VISA Check Card signature-based transaction of $50 or more

All requirements must be fulfilled within 45 days.

PeoplesBank has a Free-For-All Checking Account that has no monthly or minimum balance fees. Regarding closing fees, it says that early account closing fees will apply, but there’s no mention of what the fee is.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

The main issue with the offer is that we don’t know if it’s a shard pull or not. If it is then it’s definitely a no. If it’s a soft pull, then it’s a nice offer. We don’t know what qualifies as a DD either, but even if ACH doesn’t work and you can’t do a proper DD, you’re still left with an easy $100 bonus for one bill pay and one debit transaction.
