PayPal is trying to get more people to use their PayPal app to buy things in the real world. They are sending out emails with a great offer that can get you up 20% off. Spend $50 or more in-store on purchases using the PayPal app and earn $10 to spend anywhere PayPal is accepted. There’s also offers for $20 back on $100 spend.

The offer should show up in your app. Offer ends June 17, 2015. The Reward will be made available in your PayPal account within 4 to 6 weeks after the end of the Promotional Period so long as your account is in good standing. The $10 Reward can be automatically applied at checkout to your next purchase.

I don’t see the offer in my app, but one of my family members has it. That’s just 1 out of 5 people that I checked with (including myself), so it’s definitely YMMV. I have never used the PayPal app for in-store purchases, but this would have made me try it out (hopefully PayPal reads this).

Fine print:

*PayPal users can receive a $10 reward, when you complete a purchase(s) totaling $50 USD or more in-store using the PayPal mobile app (“Offer”). The $10 reward can be used towards a single purchase (excluding taxes and shipping) made solely through your PayPal account, subject to the terms below. Offer begins May 20, 2015 12.01am PST and ends June 17, 2015 11:59pm PST (“Promotional Period”). The maximum amount allowed under this Offer is $10.00 USD per PayPal account.

To receive this Offer, you must:

• a) have a U.S. PayPal account in good standing,
