British Airways flight to Dallas was forced to return to Heathrow because of wild passenger

British Airways air crew had to battle for an hour to restrain an unruly passenger who forced the plane to turn around. Horrified passengers watched on as the crazed man screamed hysterically as staff tried to restrain him on BA flight BA193 from London Heathrow to Dallas. Read more here. Read more here.

Kroger Just Started Delivering Groceries via Unmanned Pods in Scottsdale, Arizona

Kroger partnered with Silicon Valley startup Nuro for the initial pilot program. Testing started back in August but the supermarket chain is now officially using Nuro’s R1 to transport local deliveries from Fry’s Food Stores for $5.95 with no minimum order requirement for same- or next-day deliveries. Read more here.

MoviePass could be delisted from the stock market soon

MoviePass’ stock is in danger of being delisted by the Nasdaq national market, potentially as soon as December 28th. The stock is already down to 1.39 cents, but if it’s delisted, it could drop even more and people might have problems selling their shares at all. Read more here.

Naughty parrot was caught ordering items off Amazon’s Alexa

Rocco the parrot had been ordering from Alexa when she asked the voice assistant to review her shopping list aloud (one of the device’s many features). It turns out Rocco had ordered strawberries and broccoli, worth only about $3, but the order was never delivered. Read more here.

Amazon announces a record-breaking holiday, ‘tens of millions’ of new Prime subscribers

Amazon says it added “tens of millions” of people who signed up for Prime memberships, both paid and on a trial basis. Its worldwide customers also shopped and ordered more items than ever before, including “millions more Amazon devices” compared with this time last year. The device best-sellers, as on Black Friday, again included Amazon Echo speakers and Fire TV. Read more here.
