United Launches New Nonstop Cartagena Flights From Houston & Washington D.C.
United Airlines has announced new nonstop service to Cartagena, Colombia (CTG) from both Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). The new routes will begin on December 17, 2026, with four weekly flights from each hub, giving customers more options to visit one of Colombia’s most popular coastal destinations.
According to United, the airline will become the only U.S. carrier to offer nonstop service from both Houston and Washington, D.C. to Cartagena. The new flights will also provide convenient one-stop access from dozens of cities across the United States through United’s hub network.
The airline highlights Cartagena for its colorful colonial architecture, Caribbean beaches, and vibrant culinary scene, making it one of the fastest-growing leisure destinations in Latin America. The addition further expands United’s Colombia network, where it already serves Bogotรก and Medellรญn.
United noted that Cartagena becomes its 69th destination in Latin America and 156th international destination overall, further strengthening what it describes as the largest international network among U.S. airlines.
