New MyMcDonald’s Rewards Program

New MyMcDonald’s Rewards Program

McDonald’s has announced that it will launch its first-ever loyalty program nationwide on July 8 after months of testing. Loyalty programs are a great tool for merchants as they keep customers coming back. It usually results in more frequent visits, more spending and more information about consumers.

McDonald’s new rewards program is called MyMcDonald’s Rewards and it promises to unlock freebies simply by enjoying your favorite menu items. MyMcDonald’s Rewards will be available via the McDonald’s app at participating restaurants nationwide on July 8 (with some cities already offering it), and fans will pocket 100 points for every one dollar spent on qualifying purchases.

Points can be used toward free items like your go-to breakfast sandwich or McCaféFrappe, or lunch classics like our juicy burgers and World Famous Fries, during a future visit. More points unlock different delicious rewards, so there are even more free McDonald’s options to choose from with each tier you reach. To get you started, you will automatically get 1,500 points after your first order using MyMcDonald’s Rewards. That means that you get a free item from Tier 1 right away.

MyMcDonald’s Rewards Tiers

There are four tiers in the program. Each one requires a set amount of points to redeem for one of the eligible items.

  • Tier 1 (1,500 points)
    • Hash Browns
    • Vanilla Cone
    • Cheeseburger
    • McChicken
  • Tier 2 (3,000 points)

  2. They have switched to the MyMcDonald’s Rewards program in my town. Problem is they have done a very poor of explaining how it works and selling the value of it. Right now, the rewards tab has replaced the deals tab. Selecting the Rewards tab says it is not working come back later.

So when you review it, please share more detail how it works. It appears to be levels. Level is the very cheap seats.
