National Donut Day is here. This is a holiday celebrated on the first Friday of June of each year. It was first created by The Salvation Army in Chicago in 1938 to honor members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. One of the best things to do for National Donut Day, is get sweet deals on these doughy pastries. And here you can find a list of stores that are doing just that.

  • Citizen Chicken and Donuts – $1 donuts, limit of 6. June 4 only.
  • DiGiorno – Not your usual donut, but they have a “pizza + donut mashup” called the DiGiornut. This is a Twitter sweepstakes giveaway. To enter, fans can reply to @DiGiorno’s tweet with #sweepstakes for a chance to win a half-dozen box.
  • Duck Donuts – Free bare, cinnamon sugar, or powered sugar donut. No purchase necessary. June 4 only.
  • Dunkin – Free classic donut with the purchase of any beverage on June 4
  • Entenmann’s Donuts – Now through June 21, enter for a chance to win a year’s supply of donuts and other prizes for a deserving father figure by nominating them for the first “EntenMAN of the Year” Father’s Day Contest. Enter at
  • Krispy Kreme – Get a free doughnuts on June 4, no purchase necessary. Plus $1 Original Glazed dozen with any dozen doughnuts purchase. It’s possible to actually get two doughnuts for free without a purchase. The second free doughnut is for those who can show a vaccination card. That’s a deal that you can take advantage of every day until the end of the year.
  • Maverik Adventure’s First Stop – Any donut for $1. Excludes raspberry fritters.
  • Shipley Do-Nuts – Free glazed “Do-Nut” with any purchase until noon on June 4.
  • Smokey Bones – Free Bag O’ Donuts with any $40 purchase. June 4 only.
  • Stan’s Donuts & Coffee – Free glazed cake donuts with any purchase on June 4.
  • Tim Horton’s – From June 3 to June 15, guests can get a classic or specialty donut for just 50 cents. You must be a a member of their rewards program and it can only be redeemed with any eligible purchase over 50 cents.
