Amex Offers, Get 3K Points When You Spend $5,500+ (3x)
Check your cards for a targeted Amex Offer that can earn you some extra Membership Rewards points for your purchases. Not one of their best offers, but could be useful if you have lots of spending to do.
Offer
Get 3,000 Membership Rewards points by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum or $5,500+ in one or more eligible transactions. Must enroll by 11/7/2019 and spend by 11/21/2019. You can repeat up to three times.
Offer Terms
- Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date).
- If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the additional points. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the additional Membership Rewards points if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party.
- Cash advances, balance transfers, and other fees and charges such as interest, annual fees and foreign currency conversion fees are not eligible transactions and do not qualify for this offer.
Guru’s Wrap-up
Not a huge offer, but it’s useful if you have it on a card that you plan to use for large purchases. The offer gets you an extra 0.55x Membership Rewards points if you spend exactly $5,500. If you have it on a card like Blue Business Plus that already earns 2x, would be a good deal.
