Amex Offers are an additional perk on most American Express credit cards, for businesses and consumers. Before we get to the list of current Amex Offers, let’s see what these offers are and how they work. These offers are usually in two different forms. You can either get a statement credit for spending a certain amount at a specific merchant, or receive extra Membership Rewards points (so either $10 or 1,000 points for example). You add the offer to your card, complete the spending requirement, and soon after you often receive an email confirming that you have used the offer. In a day or two you should see the credit in your accounts.

How it Works

Amex Offers are available on your americanexpress.com account or within the Amex® Mobile app for iPhones and Android phones. Simply select the offers you want to add to your Card, then use your Card to pay and see the savings or points add up on your statement. It’s easy and free.

You will need to add the offer to a specific card, and then use that card to get the credit. You should add the offer to your preferred card. Amex Offers are usually limited to just one per person, or maybe two if you have both versions of the same offer. You can get discounts in the form of statement credits on your account or as extra points added to the rewards account associated with your Card account. Additional users with a different name, but on the same account, can still use the same Amex Offer as the primary cardholder.

For third party Amex cards, such as Wells Fargo, BBVA, FNBO, U.S. Bank etc., you can use this website, American Express Connect, to check for offers and add them to your cards. American Express Corporate Cards, American Express Gift Cards and Prepaid Cards are not eligible to participate.

If you have too many offers on one card, it might take a while to add them all. But this easy trick with automate the process and save you hundreds of clicks. Plus it’s still possible to same some offers on multiple credit cards, using MaxRebates.

Frequently Asked Questions

I received a replacement Card. How do I re-enroll in Amex Offers?
  • If your Card was issued by American Express:
    • We will automatically update your replacement Card with your information, including your offers.
    • Any Amex Offers that you added to your Card that are still available and have not been redeemed will be automatically transferred to your replacement Card.
  • If your Card was issued by a third-party financial institution: Please call the number on the back of your Card.
How and when will I get credit for my Amex Offer?
  • A statement credit will automatically appear on your Card account within 90 days after the end of the offer period..
  • Extra points will automatically appear in your Membership Rewards program account within 90 days after the end of the offer period.
  • While it says within 90 days, it usually happens within 3-4 days.
I made a purchase before I added the Amex Offer to my Card. Will that purchase qualify for the statement credit or points?
  • You must add the offer to your Card first and then make your qualifying purchase using the same Card to receive the statement credit or points.
  • However, if you add the offer right after making a purchase, it will often work. You can also chat with a rep and ask them.
Does the purchase have to be one single purchase or can multiple purchases qualify for the statement credit or points?
  • All offer terms will state the purchase requirements. Some Amex Offers require a single purchase, while others require a minimum total amount spent (one or more transactions). Please read them carefully.
Does redeeming an Amex Offer impact the rewards that I might otherwise earn for a qualifying purchase with my Card? What about finance charges?
  • If you make a qualifying purchase for an Amex Offer, your ability to earn other types of spend-based rewards (such as Membership Rewards) for that purchase may be based on the amount after any statement credit is applied.

I appreciate the list of AMEX offers.
One small helpful change would be to highlight the company/vendor/store etc. in each row so as to make it easier to scan.
    thx

    1. The “Merchant/Link” column has the company/store name. Do you mean to make it bold so it’s easier to read?

  3. This list is so random, personalized, and mostly irrelevant to others. I don’t have a LOT of these offers, and I thankfully have a bunch more Amex offers that are not listed here. It seems like a waste of space just to publish what one person has available to them when it varies so much across accounts and card types (Cash, MR, and partner-branded). It’s more confusing and misleading than it is useful.

    1. It’s not just what one person has. There are plenty of these offers that I do not have in my accounts. And yes, I’m sure some offers are missing (working on adding more). I think it helps readers, though, to check details and expiration dates on offers they are interested in.
