Update: There was some talk yesterday of JetBlue backpedaling on their amazing promo to match Virgin America Elevate points, up to 75K. From what Dan’s Deals was reporting, a few customer service representatives were saying that the Elevate points had to be earned through Virgin America flights, but apparently that’s not the case. JetBlue has confirmed that they will fully honor the promo.

JetBlue is going after Virgin America customers with a great promo. They’re offering up to 75,000 TrueBlue points, matching your Elevate points, after you take a JetBlue flight. All you need to do is email a screenshot of your Elevate account dashboard to pointsmatch@jetblue.com by 7/4/2016 and book and fly one roundtrip JetBlue flight by 08/31/16. Simple as that.

This work best if you already have Elevate points, but you can also transfer points and then take a screenshot. Find the cheapest JetBlue roundtrip flight and do your math to see if it makes sense for you. 75K TrueBlue points are around $1,000 worth, nothing to sneeze at, but definitely see if this works for you before you start transferring points around. A transfer from SPG is probably your best option. 40K Starpoints will net you 50K Elevate points. Make sure you have at least 50,001 Elevate points before requesting a match, if you’re going for the max match. 50K Elevate points will get you 50K TrueBlue points, but 50,001 Elevate points with get you 75K TrueBluepoints.

As for JetBlue fligth suggestions from NYC, with a quick search I found this roundtrip to Martha’s Vinyard for $114. Let me know in the comments if you find anything better.
