Stack Multiple IHG Credit Card Elite Night Credits
There was some confusion when Chase and IHG refreshed the IHG credit card lineup and launched the new IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card.
The original card terms said that elite night credits from multiple IHG cards would not stack, which would have limited cardholders to a maximum of 5, 15 or 20 elite nights per year from card membership.
That wording was wrong. As first reported by Frequent Miler, Chase has updated the terms, and elite night credits from multiple IHG credit cards do stack.
Here’s what each card offers:
- IHG One Rewards Premier Select: 20 elite night credits per year
- IHG One Rewards Premier: 15 elite night credits per year
- IHG One Rewards Business: 15 elite night credits per year
- No-fee IHG One Rewards card: 5 elite night credits per year
That opens up some interesting combinations. For example, holding a Premier Select and Premier would give you 35 elite night credits before staying a single night.
The stacking matters for more than just elite status. These credits also count toward IHG Milestone Rewards, where members can earn perks such as Confirmable Suite Upgrades and an annual lounge membership.
