Guru’s Wrap-Up
Most conversions don’t make sense, since you get a lousy transfer rate. You can see all the transfer partners and their rates here. Marriott is the only one worth considering. It has a 3 to 1.1 ratio and you also get a 15K bonus when you transfer in chunks of 60K. So in total you would get 35,750 United miles if you transfer 60K Marriott points. That’s not the best deal but it’s not bad. It could get even better with travel packages. They’re not supposed to work based on Marriott’s new terms, but United’s website doesn’t have any restrictions mentioned. So it’s up to you if you want to take that gamble.
