New Amex Offers, Save Up to 20% at Hertz and Avis

Check your American Express cards for two new offers that can save you up to 20% on car rentals from Hertz and Avis. The offers are targeted, but they seem to be widely available.

Hertz Amex Offer

Get a one-time $40 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $200 to pay for eligible rentals in one or more transactions made directly with Hertz by 11/30/2020.

Offer Terms

• Offer valid only for vehicle rentals made directly with participating Hertz Corporate Owned locations in the U.S. Rentals can be made through the Hertz U.S. website http://www.hertz.com, the Hertz mobile app, Hertz U.S. phone reservations, or in-person at participating Hertz Corporate owned locations in the U.S. Must pick up and return rental to Hertz Corporate Owned locations only.
• Eligible rentals must be paid by 11/30/2020 in order to qualify.
• Excludes independently licensed locations, Hertz Car Sales, Rent2Buy, HERC/Hertz Equipment Rental, Hertz Entertainment Services and Donlen Fleet Management.
• Not valid for bookings made through travel agents, third parties, or affiliate booking sites.

Avis Amex Offer

Get a one-time $20 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to pay for eligible rentals directly with Avis in a single purchase of $100 or more in-store at Avis Car Rental or online at avis.com/amex by 11/26/2020.

• Must rent directly with Avis Car Rental. Offer valid only for rentals made through US website avis.com, US mobile app, by calling US phone reservations, or at Avis locations in the US and US territories.
• Eligible rentals must be paid by 11/26/2020 in order to qualify.
• Not valid for bookings made through travel agents, third parties, or affiliate booking sites.
• Excludes Budget & Payless brands, Chauffeur Drive, Car Sales, Scooter rentals, e-Toll and purchases with travel partners for lodging, airfare, ground transportation, or parking. Standard rental qualifications apply.

Amex Offers

Amex Offers are an extra perk on all American Express credit cards, charge cards, and even prepaid cards. You can see these offers in your accounts either as a statement credit or extra Membership Rewards points for spending a certain amount at an eligible merchant. You will need to add the offer to a specific card, and then use that card to get the credit. You should add the offer to your preferred card. Amex Offers are now limited to just one per person.
