Get Double Value When You Use Bilt Points for Rent Payments
Bilt is targeting select Bilt Rewards members with an offer to get double the value for their points when redeeming for rent payments.
If you have the Bilt Mastercard, you can pay your rent with no fees and you will earn 1 Bilt Point for every dollar you spend. But you can also earn points with other cards, albeit with a fee.
When you go to the payment page in the Bilt Rewards app, you have probably seen the option of using Bilt Points towards rent. That normally gets you terrible value of about 0.55 cents per point. Considering that you can transfer Bilt Points to World of Hyatt or Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan among many other partners, you’d be a fool to do so.
Now some Bilt Rewards members are seeing an option to get 75% or 100% more value for their points when paying rent. If you get that top offer, it means that you’re now getting a value of 1.1 cents per point. While it’s still not great, it can be something worth considering if you don’t have any plans to use Bilt Points for travel in the near future.
