If you already have the Sam’s Club Amex Offer in one of your cards, you can get a free Sam’s Club membership by combining it with a $20 coupon.

With the Amex Offer you get a one time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $45+ in-Club on a new Sam’s Club Membership by 12/31/2015. This offer is valid on new memberships only, not renewals.

There’s also a $20 coupon from Perkspot. Join or renew as a Sam’s Plus, Sam’s Savings or Sam’s Business Member December 10 – 31, 2015, and receive a $20 Sam’s Club Gift Card.  Gift card will be provided at the time membership card is issued.

So to get the free membership, you must be a completely new customer and apply before the end of the year. You can however use the $20 coupon towards a renewal as well.

I don’t have any locations close by, the closest being in NJ, so I’ll probably pass on this deal. But it’s a no-brainer if you have one near you.
