Emirates Launches Two New Cards in the United States
Emirates has launched two new credit cards in the United States. The cards are issued by Barclays. Emirates Skywards Premium World Elite Mastercard has a $499 fee and the Emirates Skywards Rewards World Elite Mastercard will cost you $99 annually.
With these cards you’ll also enjoy Emirates Skywards Gold or Silver membership to enrich your Emirates experience, and other benefits. The cards come with welcome bonuses that can earn you 40K and 30K Skywards Miles respectively. Use your Emirates Skywards Mastercard for your daily purchases and earn up to 3 Skywards Miles for every dollar you spend.

You earn status immediately for having the card although you need to meet a spending threshold to keep status going forward ($40K and $20K annually).
