Discover Card Product Changes Available Again
Good news for Discover cardholders. Discover will once again allow product changes for its credit card products.
The information comes from a chat rep who notes that Discover is brining back this feature soon. You will be able to product change your Discover card through a phone rep starting on May 14, 2025, and online starting May 28, 2025.
While the Discover it® Cash Back Credit Card is probably the most popular product due to its rotating 5% quarterly categories, Discover does have other offerings as well. The Discover it® Miles Credit Card for example earns 1.5X on all purchases, and that makes it a good deal for the first year where rewards are doubled.
Then you have other products such as Discover it® Chrome, Discover it® Student, and Discover it® Secured.
Keep in mind that you need to keep a Discover card for at least a year before you can product change. There’s also a limit of two total Discover cards that you can hold at any time, and you can only get a second card after having the first one for at least 12 months.
