Delta Sky Club Expansion: Massive Growth in PHL, Refreshes in ATL, and a Look at Future Lounges

Delta Sky Club Expansion

Delta is aggressively upgrading its lounge footprint with a major expansion in Philadelphia and much-needed refreshes across its primary hub in Atlanta. These improvements are specifically designed to tackle the chronic overcrowding issues that have plagued the Sky Club network in recent years.

The Philadelphia (PHL) club in Terminal D/E has officially doubled in size to 140 seats, adding a revamped buffet and modernized restrooms. โ€œExpansions like these give us the opportunity to not only serve more customers, but to look closely at how weโ€™re serving them โ€” through the design, flow and amenities provided,โ€ said Claude Roussel, vice president of Delta Sky Clubs and lounge experience. โ€œIn Philadelphia, weโ€™ve created a space with more seats, a more intuitive layout and regionally inspired art that bring the cityโ€™s character into the lounge experience.โ€

  • New furniture and carpet installations
  • Refreshed and expanded foodโ€‘service areas and beverage bars
  • Updated check-in areas and repositioned kiosks to streamline and expedite entry
  • New art installations, including prints inspired by beloved Atlanta establishments

Looking further out, Delta confirmed more expansion plans:

  • Later this year, Concourse F at ATL will receive a lobby renovation, with more upgrades to come in Atlanta in the next few years.
  • Jacksonville (JAX) Delta Sky Club will be relocated and fully renovated in early 2027, expanding to roughly 10,000 square feetโ€”tripling its current size.
  • In 2028, Tampa (TPA) Club will move to TPAโ€™s New Airside D and receive a major expansion and renovation.
  • Las Vegas (LAS) will welcome its very first Club by 2029.

Guru’s Wrap-up

It’s good to see Delta doubling the capacity in Philly and the incremental seating increases in Atlanta which will provide some immediate relief at the world’s busiest airport. If you’re traveling through these hubs, don’t forget that your Amex Platinum or Delta Reserve card still requires a same-day Delta boarding pass for entry.
