Targeted Citi Checking Bonuses, Earn 50K ThankYou Points

Citi is sending out offers once again for a 50,000 ThankYou points bonus for new checking accounts. The offers contain a unique code, so you must have received one in order to qualify.

Bonus Requirements

• Open a new Citi Priority Account package and earn 50,000 ThankYou points after you make $750 in debit card purchases and 1 or more bill payments for 2 consecutive months.

Debit purchases and first bill payment must be completed within 60 days.

Eligibility

Offer is only available to those who are targeted.

Must not currently have or have had an account a Citibank consumer checking account within last 180 calendar days.

Fees

Citi Priority Account package has a $30 monthly fee (waived with $50K balance), so you will have to pay a few months worth of fees until you get the bonus. Most likely it will cost you $90-$120. It’s not worth it to try and waive the fee with $50K balance.

A pretty good bonus from Citi if you’re looking for some extra ThankYou points, but you need to have received a mailer with the offer and have that unique code. You will have to pay the monthly fee of $30 on the account for a few months, but that still makes these points very cheap.
