Citi and Chase Will Cover The Higher $120 Global Entry Fee

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced earlier this month that starting October 1, 2024, the fee for Global Entry will jump to $120.

As you’re probably aware, Global Entry is a CBP program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Members enter the United States by accessing the Global Entry processing technology at selected airports.

Global Entry currently costs $100, but you can get it for free through multiple credit cards. And since the fee will increase to $120 later this year, Citi and Chase say they will still cover the higher fee for certain cardholders.

Members with the following cards will receive up to $120 every four years to cover Global Entry renewal:

Select Chase cardholders could also use the credit for NEXUS, another CBP program that eases travel between the U.S. and Canada. The fee for NEXUS is also jumping to $120 on October 1st.
