Chase Starbucks Card, Get $250 Gift Card with $500 Spend (Targeted)

Check your emails for a new signup bonus for the Chase Starbucks card. Instead of points, you can now get a $250 Starbucks gift card. The card is probably not worth getting for most people, but some hardcore Starbucks fans might be swayed.

  • As a Starbucks Rewardsâ„¢ Gold Member, every 125 Stars earns you a food or drink Reward.

Eligibility

This product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months.

The card also falls under the Chase 5/24 rule.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

The card falls under the Chase 5/24 rule, so not everyone qualifies. And if you are under 5 cards in the last 24 months, then it would be foolish to use a new card application for the Chase Starbucks Visa. As for the bonus, we have seen 6,500 points in the past with a waived fee. That is probably the better option if maximized. But this new bonus is simpler and more straightforwards. Not as good though, since you already need to pay the $49 annual fee.

I really don’t see a reason to get this card. You could go for other credit card bonuses and just pay for your coffee.

Is anyone considering it? Let me know why you think it’s worth it. I don’t go to Starbucks often, so maybe I’m undervaluing it a bit.
