Chase Sends Update on Erroneous Email About Ink Business Plus Card
last week Chase scared Ink Business Plus cardholders with an email that hinted at office supply stores being dropped from the 5X earning categories. They already corrected their error with a statement sent to us via email, and now they have also sent out emails to all cardholders with the same information and more.
The original email mentioned shipping purchases as a 5X category, so Chase will actually honor that error with all shipping purchases from 6/15/26 through 6/27/26 earning 5X points. See the full email below.
Dear Ink Business Plus Customer:
You may have received an email on June 15th incorrectly listing “shipping” as an eligible 5x points category on your Ink Business Plusยฎ card. The email should have stated:
“5x points at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services, on the first $50,000 combined spend each account anniversary year.”
Here’s what this means for you:
โข From 6/15/26 through 6/27/26: Eligible shipping purchases will earn 5x points.
โข After 6/27/26: Eligible shipping purchases will earn 1x points.
โข No change to your other 5x categories: Purchases at office supply stores and on internet, cable and phone services will continue to earn 5x points on the first $50,000 in combined spend each account anniversary year.
โข Please note that points adjustments may take up to 6-8 weeks. No action is required on your part.
We are sorry for the confusion and thank you for being our customer.
