Chase Sapphire Reserve No Longer Earns 5X at Restaurants

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card was unexpectedly earning 5X Ultimate Rewards points on restaurant purchases and food delivery apps. The 5X was officially announced for Instacart orders and gas station purchases.

However that was short lived, as purchases in the last couple of days are no longer earning 5X, but only the regular 3X Points for dining at restaurants worldwide. The last purchases that qualified for 5X earning were on 7/4 I believe.

You can still take advantage of the cards limited time benefits. July 1 through September 30, Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders will earn 5x bonus points for every dollar spent on purchases at gas stations and Instacart grocery delivery and pickup orders.
