Chase Freedom comes with no annual fee and it earns Ultimate Rewards points when you have another Chase premium card. It earns 1X on all purchases but also 5X on rotating quarterly Chase Freedom bonus categories, up to a combines $1,500 in purchases. So you can earn up to $75 or 7,500 Ultimate Rewards points every quarter, if you maximize the eligible categories. Here’s how it works:

• Earn 5% on up to $1,500 in combined purchases in this quarter’s bonus categories including Chase Pay at ShopRite for the entire quarter.
• Earn 5% on up to $400 maximum in purchases when you check out using Chase Pay from 10/1/18-10/31/18.

Offer Terms

• During the promotional period of October 01, 2018 to October 31, 2018, earn an extra 5% cash back on up to $400 in purchases at ShopRite when you check out with your Chase Freedom card using Chase Pay.
• The bonus cash back earned is in addition to the 5% cash back you earn on quarterly bonus categories for a total of 10% cash back.
• If you do not activate your bonus categories, or you have already made $1,500 in combined purchases for bonus categories this quarter, or you reach $1,500 in combined purchases during this promotional period, you will only earn a total of 6% cash back on up to $400 maximum when you check out using Chase Pay during the offer period.
• Bonus cash back will post to your account within a week of the transaction posting, and will appear on your monthly credit card billing statement and be available for use within 1-2 billing cycles.

The fourth quarter of 2018 should be pretty easy to maximize with Chase Pay and Wholesale Clubs especially. Now it gets even better with this promotion that gets you a total of 10X at ShopRite on the first $400 spend during October only. They do carry gift cards, so hopefully they run some deals during that period. I received the offer by email, so check your or contact Chase to make sure that you are eligible as well. Also do not forget to take advantage of the current bonus categories.

If you don’t have the card, you can sign up and earn a $150 bonus cash back when you spend $500 within the first three months. You can also convert other Chase cards to this one, if you want to have it but don’t really want to apply for a new card.
