Guru’s Wrap-up
The value of this promotion will depend on how much you value Chase Ultimate Rewards points and Marriott Bonvoy points. I have a subjective valuation of some of the major point currencies here, and I have a value of 1.6ยข for Chase Ultimate Rewards and 0.5ยข for Marriott Bonvoy points. While the valuation could be different for everyone, the math will still be against doing such transfers even with a 70% bonus. However, this could work on some specific instances where you can get outsized value for your Marriott Bonvoy points, or if you just need more points towards a redemption.
Just keep in mind that these transfers are not reversible. Once you transfer to Marriott, there’s no going back.
