Chase IHG Business Card Free Night Will Be Worth Up to 50,000 Points

Chase IHG Business cardholders have received emails about an improvement to the anniversary free night certificate. The email says that after December 31, 2026 these free night certs will have a value of up to 50,000 points per night. That’s up from 40,000 points per night.

Here’s the text of the email:

“Anniversary Free Night: Anniversary Free Night will be available for redemption on your account anniversary date each year. “Account anniversary date” is the date that is 12 months after your account open date, and the same date each 12 months thereafter. Anniversary Free Nights awarded through December 31, 2026 will be valid at IHG® Hotels with a point redemption value of 40,000 points or less (covers one standard room night and tax only), with the ability to add on points from your IHG One Rewards account to redeem your Anniversary Free Night at hotels above your point redemption level. *Beginning in 2027, Anniversary Free Nights awarded will have a point redemption value of up to 50,000 points or less and will still enjoy the ability to add on points from your IHG One Rewards account. *Anniversary Free Night must be redeemed, and stay must be completed, within 12 months from date of issue.”

Hopefully this improvement doesn’t come with a higher annual fee.
