Some Chase Cards Get Amex Style Pop-Up for Welcome Bonus

Chase Cards Get Pop-Up for Welcome Bonus

Chase has introduced a new feature on select credit cards, similar to the Amex pop-up. When you apply for Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Freedom Unlimited, you will have the chance to get the card without the signup bonus.

Previously your application would be denied due to Chase 5/24 rule, or if you have received a bonus within the last 48 months.

Since June 13th for Sapphire cards, and earlier for Freedom Unlimited, Chase allows customers to apply and be approved for the card as long as they agree to not get the sign on bonus. This will show up as a pop-up during the application process. If you decline to proceed without a bonus, then the application will be withdrawn.

While this is not very useful for those who want the sign up bonus on these cards, it can be an option for those who really want those cards.
