[Expired] Capital One Venture Card, Increased 50K Miles Bonus

Capital One has increased the sinup bonus for its Venture Card to 50,000 miles. The bonus is worth $500 for travel purchases and the card also earns 2 miles for every dollar you spend on purchases.

Capital One Venture Card bonus

Bonus & Requirements

Earn 50,000 bonus miles with your new Venture card from Capital One once you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.

Annual Fee: $0 intro for the first year, $95 after that.

Earning Miles

Earn unlimited 2X miles—that’s 2 miles for every dollar you spend on purchases. 100 miles is equal to $1 in travel rewards.

Using Miles

Once you make a travel purchase with Venture, redeem your miles as a statement credit toward the cost.

Redemptions must be made within 90 days from the date your travel purchase posts to your account.

Miles never expire.

Capital One Credit Cards

Capital One pulls your credit report from all three major credit bureaus and that’s the main reason why their credit cards are not talked about much even though they often offer decent signup bonuses. Capital One usually will approve you even if you have one of the credit reports frozen, but that might have changed recently.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

This is a good bonus from Capital One, worth $500 when redeemed for travel purchases and up from previous offer of 40K miles. The spending requirement is what you would usually expect at $3K and the earning rate at 2X everywhere is very competitive. But you can definitely do better in that department, even with no annual fee cards. The main issue is that they pull all three credit bureaus, so keep that in mind when applying.
