If you have Capital One credit cards, there’s some good news. You will soon be able to use your points to shop on Amazon. This has long been an option for other issuers. You can already use Membership rewards points from American Express, Ultimate Rewards points from Chase, ThankYou points from Citi, Discover Cashback and even Hilton Honors points. Capital One will now join that list.
Shopping with rewards at Amazon.com will soon be available to eligible Venture, VentureOne, Quicksilver, QuicksilverOne, Savor, SavorOne, Spark Miles, Spark Miles Select, Spark Cash, Spark Cash Select, Spark Classic, and Journey Student accountholders with accounts open and in good standing.
You can shop millions of items at Amazon.com using Shop with Points. Please note, however, that rewards cannot be used for all purchases at Amazon.com. You can read about those restrictions here.
Redeeming Capital One Points on Amazon
- With cashback cards, you can redeem $1 in rewards for $1 in Amazon credit.
- With miles cards, you can redeem 125 miles for $1 in Amazon credit.
It’s always good to see a new redemption option for your points. Capital One has been making a big push recently to make its points more versatile. They added many travel partners, and now the possibility to redeem for Amazon credits. For those who have Capital One miles cards, the redemption rate is not very favorable, but for cashback cards it is pretty straightforward. Even for cashback cards though it’s probably best to get that cash and then make Amazon purchases with a credit card to earn more points.
Capital One currently has some great signup bonuses for up to $2,000.
