USPS Stamps Now Cost 66¢
The United States Postal Service (USPS) increased the price of first-class mail stamps to 66 cents from 63 cents effective Sunday, July 9, 2023. The Postal Service said the hike was necessary to offset a rise in operating expenses.
This is the latest in a series of price increases. USPS in January boosted stamp prices to 63 cents from 60 cents. The Postal Service on Sunday is raising overall first-class mail prices by 5.4% after the Postal Regulatory Commission gave approval.
But you can lock in the lower price now. Costco sells USPS First-Class Forever Stamps (100-count) for $62.75. That’s just under 63 cents per stamp. And you can use them whenever you want for First-Class Mail postage, regardless of future price increases. There’s a limit of 10 per members, so you can buy up to 1,000 stamps if you really need them.
