Hilton is running a promotion on Hilton HHonors points that will give you a 50% discount from regular price. The promotion is available on Points purchases made between November 17, 2016, at 12:01am ET and December 5, 2016, at 11:59pm ET. After discount, the price of a point goes down to just half a cent, from 1 cent. That’s pretty close to what Hilton points are valued, and sometimes you can get a better value.
It wouldn’t make sense to stock up on Hilton points through this without a redemption in mind. But, if you’re looking at a property that offers greater value that half a cent per point, or need a few more points towards that free 5th night, this would be a good option.
You need to buy at least 10,000 Hilton HHonors points to get the 50% discount and there’s a limit of 160,000 points.
