Bilt January Rent Day Benefits
Bilt revealed today its January Rent Day benefits. On January 1st, Bilt is bringing back three transfer bonuses they offered during 2023. For 24 hours you will get another chance to earn up to 150% more points with status-based transfer bonuses to Flying Blue, Virgin Points, and IHG One Rewards. Additionally, you will also get 50% more value when you use points to shop on Amazon, double points for all your purchases, free points with the Rent Day quiz and more. Let’s jump into the details.

3 Transfer Bonuses
Your Bilt Rewards Status will get you between 75% and 150% more when you transfer Bilt Points to Flying Blue, Virgin Points, and IHG One Rewards, on January 1st.
Virgin Points can be spent on a huge variety of rewards across both Virgin Red – Virgin’s Group-wide rewards program – and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, from movie tickets and popcorn to flights, hotels and unique experiences. Flying Blue miles unlock travel to Paris, Amsterdam and beyond with Air France and KLM while IHG One Rewards allows you to book free hotel rooms at over 6,000 properties in over 100 countries.
Here’s how the bonus works, based on your Bilt status:

Your bonus will be based on your status as of 1/1. Note that Bilt Status updates are reflected up to 96 hours after any earn action. There’s a 1,000 minimum for transfer, except for Blue members who must transfer a minimum of 2,000 Bilt Points. Also keep in mind that Bilt will make changes to how status is earned.
Shop on Amazon
Bilt Mastercard® cardholders can shop with a 50% redemption bonus on Amazon on January 1st. Make sure your Bilt Card is linked to your Amazon account, add the items you want to purchase to your cart, and select your Bilt Card as your payment method. The points shown at checkout will automatically reflect the added 50% bonus.
Normally, Bilt Rewards points are worth just 0.7 cents apiece toward Amazon purchases. With this added bonus, you will get just over 1 cent per points, which is still not that great considering the value you can get from transfer partners.
Double Points
Take advantage of Rent Day with double points earnings. Members with the Bilt Mastercard will earn accelerated points across non-rent spend, including:
- DINING: 6x points (regularly 3x points)
- TRAVEL: 4x points (regularly 2x points)
- OTHER SPEND excluding rent: 2x points (regularly 1x points)
Cardholders will receive double earnings, up to 10,000 bonus points. Promotion period runs between 12:00am ET on January 1 through 11:59pm PT on January 1. Cardholders will continue to earn 1x points on their rent payments when paying with the Bilt Mastercard. Don’t forget, cardholders must use their card 5 times each statement period to earn points. And a friendly reminder: When paying at a Bilt Dining restaurant, Bilt Mastercard cardholders can earn up to 11x points through dining on Rent Day.
‘Points Quest’ Trivia
Log in the Bilt Rewards app on January 1st to play Bilt’s ‘Point Quest’ trivia, with Bilt Points up for grabs! Answer 5 questions, and win up to 150 Bilt Points. Answer all 5 questions correctly and you’ll get access to a bonus question for another 100 Bilt Points. That’s a total of 250 free Bilt Points.
‘Rent Free’ Game Show
A new game show where your favorite creators and personalities play to help you win free rent.
1,000 Bilt Members have answered some juicy hypothetical questions. Your challenge will be to see how well you know your fellow Bilt Members by submitting guesses to one of these questions. If you can correctly guess three of the most popular answers, you’ll automatically be entered for the chance to get your January rent paid. Rent Free™ is available to play beginning December 27th at 9 AM ET.
Ride with Lyft
Bilt Mastercard® cardholders can activate a $5 ride credit with Lyft. Make sure your Lyft and Bilt accounts are linked and on January 1st select “Activate credits” in the Bilt app on the Rent Day tab. You’ll see your Lyft ride credit under “Lyft Pass” in the Payment section of the Lyft app within 72 hours of activating. The Lyft ride credit is valid for 90 days.
