Bilt Adds Amtrak Guest Rewards as Transfer Partner
Bilt is adding Amtrak Guest Rewards as a new transfer partner, giving members another way to use Bilt Points for travel.
Starting September 23, Bilt members will be able to transfer points to Amtrak Guest Rewards at a 2:1 ratio. That means 2 Bilt Points will convert to 1 Amtrak Guest Rewards point. Bilt says that transfer should be instant.
This is notable addition for Bilt members, as Amtrak has not had many transferable-points partnerships in recent years, and Amtrak points can offer solid value for rail travel. The new option could be especially useful for those in the Northeast Corridor, where Amtrak operates both Acela and regional service. In addition to that, Amtrak Guest Rewards can also be used for travel across more than 500 destinations around the country.
Bilt says this is part of a broader relationship with Amtrak, with more planned between the two programs.

This is an interesting addition to Bilt’s transfer partner lineup, especially for members who regularly travel by train.
The 2:1 transfer ratio is not as generous as the 1:1 ratios we see with many airline partners, but Amtrak points can be relatively valuable depending on the redemption. On average you can expect to get a value of about 2.6 cents per points.
