Barclays has an increased public offer of 45,000 points for its Wyndham credit card. The card comes with an annual fee of $75 that is waived the first year.

You will earn 45,000 bonus points after you spend $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. $75 annual fee is waived for the first year.
There’s also a bonus of 6,000 points after your account anniversary every year.
Card Benefits
This card earns 5 points per $1 spent on every Wyndham hotel stay and 2 points per $1 spent on purchases everywhere else.
Wyndham made changes to its rewards program earlier this year. Instead of flat 15K awards for all their hotels, they now have three tiers that cost 7,500, 15,000 and 30,000 points respectively. With the bonus from this card you can get either 6 nights, 3 nights or just 1 night at some of their high end properties. Definitely not as good as before when you could get 3 nights at their best hotels. They have also removed all-inclusive resorts from the Rewards program.
This card also earn you Platinum status. That gives you Total Rewards Platinum which then gives you a complimentary 2-night stay in the Beach Towers at Atlantis. You still have to pay resort fees and housekeeping fees, but it’s a great side benefit nonetheless. Now you can also redeem points at La Quinta properties (transfer 1:1).
Guru’s Wrap-Up
The same increased bonus comes around occasionally. The annual fee is waived and this is a public offer, unlike a targeted one that we saw recently. This is as good of a bonus that you will see for this card. But the recent changes to the Wyndham Rewards program definitely will make you think twice, as properties that most people want are now 30K a night.
